Mistakes happen — wrong time, wrong category, duplicate tap on +. You can fix most rows after they are saved.
Who can edit
- You — can edit or delete your own entries.
- Managers and Billing users — can edit or delete anyone's entries.
- Other Staff / Guests — usually cannot change someone else's row.
Editing on the web
- Find the row in Recorded Today (or the list for that section).
- Click the pencil (Edit) icon.
- Change time, duration, the logged value, or other fields in the edit window.
- Click Save.
Deleting on the web
- Open the same Edit window (pencil icon).
- Click the red Delete button.
- Confirm when asked "Are you sure you want to remove this entry?"
There is no separate trash icon on each sidebar line — delete is inside the edit flow so accidental taps are less likely.
Editing and deleting on mobile
- Open Track and find the saved row.
- Swipe right on the entry to reveal Edit and Delete.
- Tap Edit to change fields, or Delete and confirm to remove the row.
After you delete
The row disappears from Recorded Today and from that day's Track view. Deleted entries do not appear in the audit log — only entries that still exist on the record show there.
If you deleted the wrong row, you will need to log it again on the correct date (see Backdating entries if it belonged on another day).
You cannot change which calendar day an entry belongs to
An entry is always tied to the date shown in the Track header when you saved it. You can edit time, duration, and what was logged — but not move the row to yesterday or tomorrow.
Wrong day? Delete the entry on the wrong date, switch the Track date picker to the correct day, and log it again. See Backdating entries.
If you don't see Edit
Common reasons:
- You didn't create the row and you aren't a Manager or Billing user.
- Your role is view-only (no Track Data permission).
- The item isn't a standard Track row — Incident Reports and some other records are edited in their own areas, not on the daily Track lists.
Analyze charts after edits
If you already have Analyze → Dashboard open in another browser tab, charts may look stale until you click Update on the date picker or refresh the page. Saving an edit on Track does not always refresh an Analyze tab that was left open.
Common questions
-
Can Staff delete a coworker's behavior? — Not usually. Only Managers and Billing users can edit or delete another person's rows by default.
-
I deleted something by mistake. — Log it again on the correct date. There is no undo button.
